Clinic Hours
Hours of operation:
8:30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
Appointments and Waiting Times
We operate an appointment system. Please report to the reception staff when you arrive for your appointment. We try to keep as closely as possible to appointed times and if we are unable to do this, staff will inform you of a delay.
If you feel you need to see the doctor for a complex or more than one problem, please tell Reception when booking your appointment so that longer appointments can be made.
Billing Policy
We accept payment for our fees via Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS and Credit Card.
Normal Consultations
We bulk bill Children under 16; Aged Pensioners and Concession Cardholders.
Payment of fees is required on the day of your consultation.
Some procedures can incur an extra charge. You will be informed of the extra charges where possible. Please ask your doctor or receptionist if you have any further questions.
Duty Doctor Consultations
All patients presenting to the Ararat Medical Centre to see the Duty Doctor will be triaged by the Reception and Nursing staff prior to seeing a Doctor.
If treatment is not required on the day you will be asked to make an appointment with Reception Staff for the next available appointment.
Update patient record
Please ensure your telephone number and address is correct and up to date.
Prescription Policy
The doctors should have prescribed enough medication to last until your next review. Please schedule an appointment when your medication runs low. Doctors will not give you repeat prescriptions without an appointment.
